Cathedral Cove, closed, Hot water Beach and Hahei Beach

Looking grey and drizzle in the air we took the i-site advice of early showers clearing and headed the short drive to Cathedral Cove.  So had many others and some obviously been dropped off by bus. The path that takes some 40 min to get down to the cove, closed for upgrading! Good job we had Hetti as bus visitors had a 2 hour wait for the next one!
On a few minutes to our real goal of Hot water beach. Parked in the surf car park at the other end and took the 10 minute stroll along the beach rather than use the new park and pay machine.......cheak,  juse like England!
A short wait for the couple of dozen spade wealding tourists....us included, for the tide to go out before we dug our warm spot and sat in it. More spades arrived before it resembles Bondi Beach with holes in it, hot ones at that.
Some spots too hot to get in but ours was just right! We hogged it ejecting the occasional speculators.
Fun over and back to a picture perfect bay of Hahei for a swim in the warm afternoon sun......perfect!
