Wanaka drive to Queenstown in the afternoon.

Bye bye Wanaka,  we finished with a view from our backpackers for breakfast. Then down to the lake for a swim and rent a couple of paddle boards! We were actually not bad for our first go. I fell in spectacular fashion a few times and lesley did a good backward flip! Lunch from yesterday's left overs and drive to a scenic coffee stop. 30+ C is almost too hot now but it's bound to be cooler in Queens town?

Not prepared for what we came across in Queens town!  Bedlam. People, traffic and lots of grockley tat. Burgers beer sheds and adventure coming out of every corner. Found the digs, OK.  Bit odd one room ensuite shared kitchen but no one to share it with yet! Found a hair cut thank goodness and did the supermarket.  Chilling tonight with wine, contemplating the next 2 days and how we can get out of it!
